There are so many ways to make a difference wherever you are! Here are some ways to get involved with conservation work that we love!
Education is the first step to understanding what issues exist and why we should care for them. The survival of other animals is crucial for the survival of our planet and ourselves. Once people form meaningful connections with a topic, they are more likely to take action. We hope to be a resource for awareness and passion for environmental issues relating to animal conservation.
Technology has the opportunity to have a much broader and more accessible reach than traditional forms of education in conservation such as research journals, academic institutions, and zoos. Tech is already used in research and information communication, and can help us lessen our impact on natural spaces where tourism and research would normally take place.
Using what we know about how traditional zoos go about education, we hope the internet can be used to apply the same methods of education in online formats. Social media can be used for engaging new audiences, remote research methods can be used to observe animals in the wild, and the internet can be used for citizen science and online conservation efforts.
Alveus SanctuaryAlveus is an animal sanctuary that uses the internet, particularly Twitch to educate viewers on issues regarding their ambassador species and their counterparts in the wild. |
Shark StewardsShark Stewards' mission is to eliminate shark fin trade and does this through education, science, and policymaking. They provide resources for volunteers and local promotion. |
Fight for RhinosFight For Rhinos seeks to raise awareness for the poaching of rhinos in Africa, where all 5 rhino species are considered critically endangered. They complete their mission through their own projects, and by raising funds for other non-profit organizations. |

Through their management of wild landscapes across europe, they hope to set the example for conservation across the continent. |
